Living Every Day in Resurrection Power

As we enter the month of April, when we celebrate Easter, it is worth reflecting on the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The resurrection is not merely a doctrine we defend or a date we remember. It is the very atmosphere in which we as believers live.

Too often we treat the resurrection as the grand finale of the gospel story. In reality, it is the dawning of new life. The cross declares, “It is finished,” but the resurrection declares that new life has begun.

On that resurrection morning, the stone was rolled away so that we could see into a new reality and discover that death has been defeated, sin has been judged and forgiven, and a new creation has begun.

God’s Declaration of Victory

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians:

“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.” (1 Corinthians 15:17)

But Christ has been raised. The resurrection is the Father’s public declaration that the sacrifice of Jesus was accepted. Every sin has been dealt with and every charge answered through the obedience of Jesus Christ.

The empty tomb is heaven’s announcement that the New Covenant stands secure.

United With a Risen Christ

Paul writes in Romans:

“If we have been united with Him in a death like His, we shall certainly be united with Him in a resurrection like His.” (Romans 6:5)

This is not imitation but participation. The Christian life is not about trying to live for Christ, but living from Christ. His resurrected life is now our life. His standing before the Father is now our standing. His victory is now our victory.

Christianity is not self-improvement. It is resurrection reality.

Resurrection Changes How We Face Life

Because Jesus lives, fear loses its grip, condemnation loses its voice, and death loses its sting.

Jesus said in John’s Gospel:

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live.” (John 11:25)

We live with quiet confidence—not because circumstances are easy, but because Christ is risen. Trials may come and challenges may press in, but resurrection power assures us that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ.

For the believer, the worst thing is never the last thing.

A Living Hope for a Hurting World

Many people today are exhausted from striving—striving to be enough, striving to fix themselves, striving to outrun fear and failure. The message entrusted to us is not religion but resurrection life.

We proclaim a living Savior who has done what we could never do and who now shares His life with all who believe.
